Food Log: 3/12/09; Yoga, Collarbone; Shred

The weather is so nasty this morning. Where is my beautiful sunshine and warm temps?

I make myself get out of bed this morning and make something other than cereal for breakfast. I made this egg white and cheese omelet with a little taco sauce and a bagel with a little spray butter (3 pts)

And some Ginger Herba Mate tea. It's supposed to promote mental alertness. We'll see. See my scale in the background? :)

That breakfast was so filling! I didn't get hungry until way after the lunch hour.

I hate to even admit how lazy I was this morning. I did get my essay turned in.

Then I knew I had to meet with Jillian. We had an appointment and I didn't want to disappoint her or my waistline. So, I Shredded on Level 1. Guess what! I was able to do almost ALL of the exercises. I'm not saying that it didn't hurt but I was able to do it. That's a mega super duper accomplishment for me.

One of my goals this week was to also walk/run for 4 days. So I got my gear on and headed outside even though it was cold. I did one minute walk and 1 minute run. By the end of the 30 minutes I was doing 2 minute walk and 1 minute run. Then it started raining on me when I was way on the other side of the neighborhood. So I walk/ran as fast as I could back home and got a shower.

You know those jeans that you keep in the closet and keep trying to fit in to? Well, after I got out of the shower I decided to try them on. Denim and wet skin do NOT go well together. Denim does not slide. It resists.
.

.
I learned a new yoga pose: sit on the side of your bed; with feet firmly planted on the ground lay backwards on the bed, suck in your belly and zip your jeans. What do you think it should be called? I was thinking the struggling denim.

Collarbones: we all have them but not all of us have seen ours in a long time. Well, today mine came out of hibernation and I could feel them! I can feel my collarbones. I was walking around with my hand on my neck most the day in wonder. It's a beautiful thing to touch your own collarbone. A wonderful confirmation that I am losing weight.
.

.
And beneath about 3" of fat I am sure there are six pack abs. :)

Lunch time! I had some leftover Ole Pizza (4 pts) and an apple (1 pt).For an afternoon snack I had jalapeno cheese crackers (2 pts) and a little bit later I had an awesome WW Raspberry Chocolate Bar (1 pt)
Dinner was an easy slap together meal: spinach, corn and Morning Star riblets (7 pts)
After dinner I got to playing Guitar Hero and what rocker out there doesn't drink? So I decided to party Weight Watchers style and make a pitcher of 4 pt raspberry margaritas. I drank the whole pitcher. It was totally awesome. Like a giant snowcone. Sweet nectar.

Raspberry Margarita Recipe
1.5 ounces tequila (2 pts)
about 1.5 cups water
about 2-3 cups ice
packet of raspberry flavored mix for water bottles
Blend in blender until smooth. You could make any flavor by changing the mix. Could do peach or grape or lemon or whatever. Use your imagination.
I don't know what it was but I had the munchies BIG time last night. Could it have been the food porn over at Just Sweet Enough? Whatever it was I was craving everything and anything.
.

.
Chuck was kind enough to offer to get me a burger or fish sandwich from Wendy's or McDonald's but despite my little crack pusher I stayed on plan.
.

.
I had some popcorn (1 pt) and some cherry jello (0 pt!).

Before I ate the kitchen sink I went to bed. :)

  3. I can feel my collarbone and I'm super close to being able to see it, I think. I feel very feminine and sexy when my collarbone shows!
