Weigh In Results

I had no idea what to expect this morning. On Monday the scale showed a gain of 3.3 pounds. Yesterday it said I lost 2.9 pounds of that gain.
The magical scale told my fortune and today it said: "Well done, good and faithful servant."

Lost 3.1 pounds from last week's weigh in for a total of 54 pounds gone! Down to 196. Woop! Woop!

The Wii Fit is so close to saying that I'm overweight instead of obese. So close.

Things I did this week to kick the scale's @ss:

  • eat less processed foods but didn't count calories
  • MOVED a lot more (hiking out the wazoo & exercise videos/game)

Eat clean + move more= weight loss and muscle tone

Mood: Happy Camper

  1. Well done, my Love.

    Such an amazing turn around.

This time around, losing weight and getting in shape has been FUN.

  2. Thanks, sweety. I couldn't do it without your support. You are amazing and my BFF. :)

  3. Very impressive. Time for the little sideline dance for sure!

  4. WOO HOO!!!!

    I am in serious awe!!

  5. Omg, you guys are so CUTE together!

Way to go, Kelly. You're a rock star even without the Rock Stars.

  6. I'm jealous. Chuck never leaves me comments like that.

I'm flirting with that Obese line on my Wii Fit scale, too. It's kinda sad that you're looking forward to your scale saying you're "overweight."

Way to go on the loss. Mojo re-established.

  7. Congrats chica! You are doing an amazing job :)

  8. YAY KELLY!!! Congrats on such a great loss - and I totally understand the Wii Fit obese/overweight thing, lol!

  9. Kelly, I just started my Wii Ative, my gosh day 2 and it is kicking my butt. I do WATP on a DVD player at my lunch hour. One is a killer the other just good sweating. Good on you with your weight loss

  10. Way to go, Kelly!

    WOO HOO!!!!!

  11. Did you follow weight watchers at all, or just eat clean? Just wondering if you think its just better to eat clean!

  12. Dana, I have followed WW. Last summer I started losing weight by just monitoring every calorie that went in & went out to make sure I had a deficit. Then I got lazy and gained everything back but 17 pounds. I joined WW at the end of January 2009 and counted points on everything. I was NOT eating clean at all. 100 calorie packs of everything. Lots of processed foods.
I lost weight but it would slow down quite often. Plus I started becoming interested in becoming healthy....not just losing weight.

People started commenting on my blog that if I stopped eating so many processed foods I would lose weight more quickly. I take comments and advice seriously so I started reading. I read blogs, Master Your Metabolism, The Eat Clean Diet book, and In Defense of Food. I was convinced that I needed to change things.

So right now I am eating clean but with the WW Core/Filling Foods in the back of my head to help me make the right choices. I just knew that I would not count points for the rest of my life but it was what I needed to teach me how to eat within limits.

Do you need WW to lose weight? No. You need to stop eating processed foods and move more. That's about it. Make sure you eat 4 small meals and try not to eat after 9pm. Those are tips I have been given and they seem to help.

When you eat right and move more, you can have the occasional treat without feeling the least bit guilty. I still drink ritas and I still go out for a greasy burger from time to time. :)

Apologies if I gave you way more info than you wanted. LOL

  13. Awesome job! You are rockin' it! I don't care what the Wii thing says, you do NOT look anywhere near obese.

  14. The scale could just drive you nutso!!! :-)

And I have yet to try one of Jillian's workouts. I feel like everybody is shredding but me!

I did read one of her books though and I tried some of her moves at the gym. Holy hard!!!

  15. Oh NO, thats really what I wanted to hear. I just cant stand to count these FREAKIN points. It really bothers me. I do eat lots of processed foods and losing weight for me is slow. I also have no thyroid so it is even more challenging for me and slow. I just bought the clean eating magazine and want to give it a try. Thanks for all the info, and if you have more, just send it my way. I was just not sure if you were still counting points while eating clean? Do you feel better?

  16. Woah that is one confusing scale!
Ooh or is it the body's mechanisms that are confusing.

    GREAT job on the loss!!
and GREAT work on eating clean and moving more!! :>

Taking a break from counting calories and points.. we deserve the mental break yeah. can be quite stressing!!

  17. Awesome job Kelly , on the weight loss and explaining your eating-clean approach. My mother was telling me that WW used to be more based on whole foods, before they had their own food lines, etc.

  18. Kelly, that is so terrific! You are burnin it up, girl!

  19. Dana, I do feel pretty darn good but it's probably a combination of the exercise and better eating. I sleep like a rock too. I'm pretty much asleep as soon as I hit the pillow.
Somewhere on this blog I did a synopsis of the Eat Clean Diet book plus I HIGHLY recommend Jillian's book Master Your Metabolism. I found it very interesting. :)

It's still all comes down to burning more calories than you comsume. You got to move it, move it. :P

  20. Isn't it amazing what eating actual food instead of chemicals can do.

  21. that is SO awesome! It proves that in the long run exercise really will pay off. You don't even know how much I needed that reminder this morning!

  22. Rock on girlfriend! Keep it up!

PS I'm jealous of your green treats. Giveaway?? ;)

  23. I'm going to have to find the Clean Eating Magazine! The more I listen to Jillian Michaels Podcasts, the more and more it interests me.

    Youre doing amazing lady!!!

    You and chuck=adorable :D

I love comments. Tell me what's on your mind. :)
